Online driving courses, built one state at a time by a team with more than a decade in online state-regulated education.
Who DriverOnline is for
DriverOnline is for ordinary drivers. We are building four kinds of course: driver’s ed, defensive driving, traffic school and CDL training.
- Teens and adults learning to drive
- Drivers who got a ticket, or were sent to a class by a court or the DMV
- Drivers who want to ask their insurer for a discount
- People training for a commercial driver’s license
Built state by state
Every state sets its own rules for driving courses: the hours, the topics, the minimum age and whether an online course counts. So we build each course for one state, to that state’s rules.
DriverOnline is new, and no course is open yet. Courses are opening state by state, and we list a course for a state only when it can be taken there. Tell us your state and we will email you when your course opens.

DriverOnline is new. The people behind it are not. Our founding team has spent more than a decade building online courses in state-regulated education, where every state writes its own rules and a course has to follow them exactly.

Before you sign up for any course
Rules change, and they differ from state to state. Your state’s DMV or licensing agency, your court or your insurer decides whether a course fits your situation. Ask them first.
