Privacy Policy and Messaging Terms and Conditions

Effective date: October 2, 2026

Who we are

TradesCE LLC (“DriverOnline”, “we”, “us”) operates driveronline.com, an online driver education and driving safety course platform. This page is our combined Privacy Policy and Messaging Terms and Conditions. It explains what information we collect, why we collect it, the choices you have, and the terms that apply to text messages from us. Questions? Write to [email protected] or TradesCE LLC, 1383 2nd Ave, Gold Hill, OR 97525.

Information we collect

  • Account and identity information — your name, email address, phone number, and, where a state agency or court requires it for course credit, your driver’s license number and related identifying details.
  • Purchase information — the courses you buy and your billing details. Card payments are processed by our payment processor; we never store your full card number.
  • Course activity — lesson progress, quiz answers, and time spent in course content.State rules require providers to verify seat time and completion, so this record-keeping is a regulatory obligation, not optional analytics.
  • Technical information — IP address, browser type, and device information, collected automatically to keep the site secure and working.
  • Text messaging information — if you agree to receive text messages from us, your mobile number, a record of your consent (when and how you gave it), and the messages exchanged with us.

How we use it

  • To provide your courses, track your progress, and issue completion certificates.
  • To report your course completion to a state agency or court where reporting is required or you request it — this is the core purpose of the service.
  • To process payments, respond to support requests, and send transactional messages about your courses.
  • To send customer care text messages you have agreed to receive, as described in the Messaging Terms and Conditions below.
  • To send course reminders and announcements you can opt out of at any time.
  • To meet record-retention rules that states impose on course providers.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with: (1) state agencies, courts and their reporting systems, to report your course completion; (2) service providers that run our platform — payment processing, hosting, and email delivery — under contracts limiting their use of your data; and (3) authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information. Our website also uses analytics and advertising tools that collect information about your visits, as described under Cookies below.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Retention

Course-completion and seat-time records are kept as long as state rules require, which varies by state. Account information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.

Your choices

  • You can access and update your account information at any time from your account page.
  • You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message.
  • You can stop text messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any message.
  • You can request a copy or deletion of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. Note that we must retain records state rules require us to keep, even after an account is closed.

Messaging Terms and Conditions

TradesCE LLC (doing business as DriverOnline) sends customer care text messages from (833) 558-7233. With your consent, we text the mobile number you give us to answer your questions and to provide information relevant to your relationship with us, such as help with your account, your orders, your course access, and your certificates.

  • How you agree: you agree to receive these messages when you give us your mobile number and consent to customer care text messages, for example on a form that asks for your consent, or when you text us at (833) 558-7233.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to text messages to buy or take a course.
  • Message frequency varies with your questions and your activity with us.
  • Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
  • To stop messages, reply STOP to any message at any time. We will send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that.
  • For help, reply HELP to any message, email [email protected], or call (833) 558-7233.
  • These are customer care messages, not marketing. We will not send you promotional text messages unless you separately agree to receive them.
  • Privacy: we do not share your mobile opt-in information with anyone. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
  • Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for sign-in, your cart, and site security. Our website also uses Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) and the Meta Pixel. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to record the pages you visit, the courses you view or add to your cart, and whether a visit led to a purchase, so we can understand how the site is used and measure our advertising. Google and Meta receive this information and handle it under their own privacy policies.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our website — for example where people click, how far they scroll, and where a page is confusing — so we can improve it. Clarity records these interactions with cookies and similar technologies and masks what you type into forms. Microsoft processes this information under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Clarity runs only on our public website, not inside your courses.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and manage how Meta uses this information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. Blocking these cookies does not affect your courses.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), payment details are handled by a PCI-compliant processor, and access to personal information inside DriverOnline is limited to staff who need it to operate the service.

Children

Our service is for drivers and people learning to drive and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
