Who can take it

Most first-time drivers under 18 in Nevada must complete a driver education course, and a teen can enroll as early as age 15½.

Course length

A course from a school for training drivers for a person under 18 must be the equivalent of not less than 30 hours of instruction.

Taking it online

The classroom part of a course may be taught interactively through communications technology, so students need not be physically present in a classroom.

Who approves it

No one may operate a school for training drivers without a license from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Good to know

A 16 or 17 year old needs at least 50 hours of supervised driving experience, including at least 10 hours in darkness.
